Individual Therapy - You will meet with Dr. Rock in a confidential setting and she will conduct a comprehensive evaluation. This assessment includes history gathering and current symptoms which will help Dr. Rock ascertain presenting problems and establish a treatment plan that is tailored to your specific needs. Together you will set treatment goals and your progress will be monitored and discussed throughout the duration of therapy. Some goals may take more time depending on the nature of the problem.
Family Therapy - Dr. Rock will meet with the family to discuss dysfunctional patterns that lead to conflict. Sometimes it may be necessary to include family members when an individual is experiencing substance abuse issues, eating disorder, or serious illness for additional support and guidance. Therapy with adolescents will require periodic sessions with parents/guardians to ensure that there is consistency within the household.
Phone/Video Sessions - Dr. Rock offers sessions via telephone or video for those who are at a distance, live in underserved areas, suffering from illness, or those unable to access transportation. Additionally, the situation often arises when an individual engages in therapy and builds a therapeutic relationship with a clinician but must relocate due to career, school, etc. In order to maintain continuity of care, Dr. Rock offers this valuable service to clients.
